I have some buttons in my page...So I would like to pop a drop down list-menu under the button when it is pressed...

Is this feasible with ajax or simple asp and how can it be done?

the AJax Control Toolkit supplies us with a  HoverMenu. Download the toolkit and open the sample site with VS.NET 2005 and view the sampler to see if it will work for you.

/SampleWebSite/HoverMenu/HoverMenu.aspx

You should be able to place server conrols (dropdownlists or whatever) and have that display with a mouse action.

The PopupControl might be an even better option

/SampleWebSite/PopupControl/PopupControl.aspx

Depending on the host, you can just place the System.Web.Extensions.Design.dll and System.Web.Extensions.dll in the bin directory and all teh AJAX stuff should work fine. Ideally the host would have this installed to the server but it's still quite new so not all have caught up quite yet

You can ask to your Hosting Provider...

Otherwise you can provide yourself neccessary dll files,

when you will upload your site ...
