When in the activity implementation I want to reaad tha data containter from the previous activity.
When I do that with the following code

Agent agent = new Agent( );
agent.setLocator( Agent.LOC_LOCATOR );
agent.setName( "LOCAL" );
ExecutionAgent pea = agent.getExecutionAgent( );

Here I get pea as null.so I am not able to proceed.

Could you please let me know why pea is null here?

Generally speaking, an Activity Implementation is not expected to look at the previous container, it only has access to its own container. However, if this is something that absolutely must be done, you can do so by using theInstance Monitor object.
