Global Container members order change2/13/2008 12:34:43 AM

Hi

I deployed the ProcessTemplate with Global data container using fmcibie command, and later changed the order of Global data container members and tried to deploy the FDL but the deployment failed with error.
this is understandable as we can only add new members to Global container and can not change the order of its members.
But strange is that even If a delete the ProcessTemplate which has the Glonbal container associated and redeploy the ProcessTemplate again still the fmcibie is giving the errors that Global container table can not be update.

Any help to solve this..

The deletion of Process Templates is only a logical deletion of a process=20
template, to avoid the creation of process instances of the template.=20
Running instances of this template still need the template information.=20
The easiest way to remove a process template and its global container is=20
to use the Process Template Deletion Tool, which is contained in the=20
Database Maintanance Tools support pac, This utility checks for all=20
depencendies before the physical removal of a process template. The global =

container may be kept even if the template is removed, if global container =

sharing is used. In this case your process template needs to define and=20
use a new global container.

here is a short description and link to the support pac:
Database Maintenance Tools (WC01 ? New)=20
Collection of utilities for Workflow Administrators to interact directly=20
with the Runtime database. It enables functions like Runtime database or=20
process template housekeeping.=20
Global Container Maintenance Tool to merge or split (shared) global=20
containers in the Runtime database=20
Process Template Deletion Tool to physically remove process templates from =

the Runtime database=20
Thanks in advance
Hello Mulumudi,

it is not a good idea to manually interact with the MQWF DB.
You might loose DB integrity and you loose support.
In this case there is no reason to do so either.
Either it is a test system, then you can drop the DB and start from
scratch or it is a
production system the you should take the effort an use the Process
Template Deletion tool.
