Creating Custom Buttons in Captivate 33/27/2008 9:53:57 PM

In the first version of Captivate, I was able to create my own image buttons,
including the three states of the button (over, down, click). When I select one
of the included buttons in Captivate 3, the three states of that button are
added automatically. How do I create my own custom buttons and include the
three states in Captivate 3?

Thanks,
Erica

Hi Erica and welcome to our community

The process is essentially the same. The only difference here is that instead
of just browsing to the button images and selecting them individually, you name
them appropriately and place them where Captivate expects to find them.

They are expected to be found in the following location: (Assuming you haven't
deviated from the default location during install)
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 3\Gallery\Buttons

The names should be:
ButtonName_down.EXT
ButtonName_over.EXT
ButtonName_up.EXT

*Note that .EXT reflects the image format. This could be .GIF or .JPG or .PNG
or .BMP and ButtonName reflects what you want to call your button.

Hope this helps... Rick :smile;

Thanks for your prompt response. I found the folder you directed me to.
