Components won't display over http3/11/2008 8:03:40 PM

Hi All,

Please help this frustrated flash beginner:

1. Assuming I wish to stream over rtmp.
Media server installed with /applications.bemeclient1 folder and b.flv inside
it.
Set source property of video in my fla to to rtmp://localhost/bemeclient1/b.flv
It fails to load the flv.

2. Assuming I give up with rtmp and try http:
(Now localhost is the name of the machine and NOT the media server root,
right?)

Set source property of video in my fla to to http://localhost/myvdiriniis/b.flv
Result: When viewing the page like this (file system)
"file:///C:/BeMeFlash/BeMeClient1/BeMeClient1.html"\
The movies plays.

But when viewing the same page like this:
http://localhost/myvdiriniis/BeMeClient1.html

Doesn't display at all.

I tried to put this online at
http://www.bemecollective.com/

But I get the same result (you can take a look).

I will appreciate any advice!!!

Best regards,

Ari Telias

Are you using one of the playback skins? If yes, you need to upload that
swf to your server as well. The skin swf should be in the folder as your
swf that is calling the skin.

Hey,

I am more familiar now. Most everything works on my side. Maybe I can help you. What are you trying to do?

Im getting the same problem but with progressive download from a webserver.

Tested in flash all works great, but as soon as I uploaded the files to the
webserver no video or components are displayed.

And ideas guys?

Many thanks,

Stuart.
