Commerce Starter kit (CSK) is the starter point to learn and build a powerful e-commerce application in .net framework. CSK has been around more than a year now, and some users still have a problem with it and some don?t know how to get around with the coding.
Our team (Postgraduate Students from the Australian University in Sydney) has been working with CSK since 2003 and we have used the methods found in CSK to develop our own application with some enhanced features such as payment processing, template email and security. Our new application is called QuickCart 2004. You can download the full working software from http://www.oniondotnet.com or take a testdrive.
We would like to contribute our research to produce a complete reference guide how to build a powerful e-commerce application based on CSK. This step by step guide will show you how to use ado.net to retrieve data from sql server database and also using stored procedures for the application. Build a payment pipeline and
security features such as decryption and encryption data and more.
After you have walked through each step, you will have a full understanding of how to building a complete e-commerce storefront in just 48 hours. You can then start to build a powerful e-commerce application by yourself or upgrade the CSK to suit your need.
Before we create this reference guide, we would like to know how many members would use this guide to learn and build their own application. If no one needs it, we shouldn?t waste our time to create it.
If you are interested in this reference guide please send us an email, and let us know what part of CSK you would like to know in details, and some features that you most need for your application so we can include them in our guide.
This is a free reference guide and we will show you step by step to build QuickCart 2004. Please visit our website or email us at info@myonion.net for more information about QuickCart.
