HI

My database is sqlbase...so can i USe the dnn jungle templates? i watched the vidoe and its one vidoe is configuring everything with ref to the sql server....

the module that i need to add use the data from another db SQLBASE. so can i now use these templates or not ??

I have actually started without it and now i am stuck up at one point. I donot have app_localresources folder in my module. so i donot have the resx files for my files. in seabury video lesson 5 i see the usage of resx files. which if i dont use the dnnjungle templates then i dont get this folder. can anyone guide me how to proceed. now i am totally confused.

Basically those templates create a skeleton VS.NET project.

As you can see the templates only create SQL Provider Projects by default, you would need to create a provider project for db SQLBASE as well as the actual DNN data provider unless you already have a DNN db SQLBASE provider. So the short answer to your question is you can use the templates to create the project & provider structure, but you would still need to greatly edit the provider project as well as create an actual DNN db SQLBASE provider.

Yes, that's why the current module architecture is broken into two (or more) components:  Module project, and {ChosenDB}DataProvider project(s).  If you are not using MSSQLServer, then the SQLDataProvider project templates may not be of that much direct use--but you can certainly use the Module project template!  (You might even want to copy the SQLDataProvider template and create a derivative template that IS appropriate for your chosen db...)
