Hi,

I have already installed SQL Server 2000 Dev edn. and VS.NET 2003.  I'm not really sure which SQL Server 2005 I should install as many of you have installed the express version with the dev edition.

 Also when I install SQL Server 2005, it wants me to install .net framework 2.0, will this effect my current .net 1.1 applications? What so I need to do to keep both frameworks seperate?

Install whatever version meets your needs.  SQL 2005 requires .NET 2.0 but the frameworks are independent of each other and run side by side fine.  You will need to set the framework for your app in IIS.
