In PetShop 3.0, the code has a user named "mspetshop", and in the config file you have "<add key="SQLConnString1" value="server=myServer;user id=MSPetShop;password=password;database=MSPetShop;min pool size=4;max pool size=4;packet size=3072" />"
When I start the application up, I kept getting the error "not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection". I've checked here and there, all seems to be correct, such as the user "MSPetShop" is associated with the "MSPetShop" DB. I just simply don't know why this is happening?
Furthermore, I'd like to ask, isn't it the Best Practice to "Use Windows authentication when accessing SQL Server." However, in this application it uses SQL Server Authentication. Could you someone explain the reason why? And, all the other demo applications, such as IBuySpy uses Windows Authentication, so under what conditions in ASP.NET do you ever want to use SQL Server Authentication?
