Allowing User to Enter Address in Regional Language

Hi all,

I don't know weather it is correct to ask this Question Here, If any one came across this problem please Help me.

I'm Developing a Windows application using VS 2005, with SQL Server 2000 as Backend. In this application there's a field called User Address, where User Enters their Address in Relional Language like (French, Hindi...) and rest of the fields in English.

Here my problem is that i couln't find any way, to facilitate user to type address in Regional Language, How to Set Language for a Single Control in a Form.

I am not sure you need to set language in the control. When user needs to type in a local language, they change keyboard in the OS they are using and enter the data in the control. Control is a Unicode object (as are all strings in .NET) so your server code will receive information in Unicode.

I'd just like to add what Mikhail said...

The "trick" comes on the database functionality -- you need to make sure (in my experience at least, and this has bit me a few times) a) the columns in your table are nvarchar or nText and if you are using stored procedures b) the param declaration matches the column and c) the code calling the stored proc also matches.
