All the Visual Source Safe features are included on Team system or Team system use Visual Source Safe? There will be a new VSS included on VS.NET 2005

Currently MS does not use SS internally, they use a product called Source Depot.  The new source control in Team system is geared to the enterprise and MS plans on switching to it in the future. 

I am looking forward to the Shelving feature which SS does not have.

Source control in Team System is completly separate from VSS

There is an update to VSS that is part of the 2005 release and it is better than the prior versions
