Hi

i was very surprised when i saw my new problem:

When i run novell-ncs, my printer Xerox phaser 840 seems receive trames
of heartbeat and printer does'nt work ! Great problem !
all of others printer work normaly.

PS: My Novell Cluster service is configured on the LAN Network
production

Had the same problem with a Xerox Phaser a few years back.
Solved it by putting de Xerox Phaser on a different Vlan.

any different subnet should work - as long as the heartbeat packets are
not seen by the Xerox.

yes the solution is VLAN or buy another printer.

this type of printer was not supported by xerox. so i don't know
official answer. but i supposed that microprogram of printer which knows
trames of heartbeat and which make errors
