Cluster resource on 2 different subnets?7/30/2008 3:46:02 PM

I am running OES NW 6.5 with Cluster services. I have the servers on
6.5 sp7.

I have two different networks and am trying to get PXE with Zenworks
(on clustered server) to work on both networks.

I have tried just adding the following:

ADD SECONDARY IPADDRESS <IP_address>

to the resource script. It fails with the following error:

Secondary IP address xx.xx.xx.xx is not associated with any local
binding.

I only have one nic configured on the server.

I must be missing something. I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,
TM

Irrelevant of the presence of clustering, you cannot add a secondary IP
address to a server that does not have a primary IP address in the same
subnet. What would the point be of having a secondary IP address on a
server which is not on that subnet? How would any other device be able
to find it?

I don't understand why the PXE requests won't route from one network to
the other?
