Hello,
I'm currently running netware 6.5/wSP7. It's a two node cluster. I
currently have the data and printing on the SAN and the sys volumes are
on the local servers. How or What utility can i use to migrate my data
and printing from the 135Gb drives to my new 500gb drives which are in
the same SAN?

You can use NSS mirroring, then break the mirror by removing the original
and then using partfix.nlm to fix the "broken" mirror.

Or you can use VCU (much slower)

Or you can use ncopy (slower still)

The advantage of the of the two latter methods is that they defrag the
data as they go.

Tim:

Have you used NSS mirroring for Linux based NCS clusters? I've done it
multiple times on NW based NCS cluster volumes, but not SLES based?

Any info would be appreciated

thanks

No i haven't used NSS mirroring for Linux or NW. Can you tell me how i
would do NSS mirroring on a NW based NCS cluster volumes? Are there any
limitations as far as volume and pool sizes. Currently i have my data
and printing on a 135gb SAN. It's a two node cluster. On my SAN i also
have 500Gb drives which i want to move the data and printing from the
135Gb drives, because it's full to the 500gb drives. Could NSS
mirroring help me achieve that successfully?

On NW yes, this could - create a new Partition on the 500's (I assume
they are mirrored or some-such), mirror the NSS partitions - wait for
Sync break the mirror by removing (deleting) the original (Great time for
a really good backup!) and then you can add the additional space as a
second partition and increase the size of the pool.

The OP might find 'Mirrors for Moving Partitions - CoolSolutionsWiki'
(http://wiki.novell.com/index.php/Mirrors_for_Moving_Partitions) a
helpful reference.
