FAQ:
What is a Item in CodeVerge?
An Item can range from a question, article, link, video, and
more. Depending of the item choosen at the entry page, the way the user view
the item is different. Currently there are two type of views, depending on which
type of item is it. For example, an article and a question differ in that
an article support multiple pages, and a question is more for an inquiry and reply
forum. However, an article also support comments/responses as well.
What are XPoints?
At CodeVerge, the idea is to give credit and recognition to our
members. Therefore the XPoints system was created to keep track of each member
accomplishment. One can think of XPoints as experience points. When
add a new Item, members have the option to offer a certain amount of their own XPoints
to whoever that solved or answered that particular question or problem. If
more than one member is responsible for answering, then the XPoint can be divided
among them. All member starts out with 100 XPoints.
Do I need XPoints to ask a question?
No. XPoints are optional but members might be more intise to
answer questions that have more XPoints in them.
What are Zones?
Zones are like categories, or forums in which items are grouped
for organization.
