I have been trying to configure the 0.95 multiple web config for about 4 days now, and have yet to get it running. I'm now wondering if it may be specific to my IIS config.

Specifically, on IIS, I have created a new "Web Site". In the "Host Header Name", I am specifying the address "labs.brassring.com" .

Under this new website is where I configured the "Blogs" virtual directory pointing to the Dottextweb directory.
I have configured the ".*" in IIS specifically for the "Blogs" virtual directory.

My DB is configured and I have a blog created. The Application name I specified is "Michael", and the host setting is "labs.brassring.com".

I attempt to goto http://labs.brassring.com/Blogs and
http://labs.brassring.com/Blogs/Michael

I get the error:
A blog matching the location you requested was not found. Host = [labs.brassring.com], Application = [login.aspx?returnurl=%2fblogs%2fmichael%2fdefault.aspx]

I've tried just about everything...with no success. I'm wondering if my IIS setttings are what's causing the problem. Perhaphs .TEXT does not support this particular configuration?

Which of the predefined configuration files did you start with?

The odd part is that it's not letting you get to the login page, that suggests something more fundamental is wrong.

The Wiki looks like it's down right now, but did you work off the installation instructions there?

I am using the Multiple2.config file for the site...this is the one that's supposed to work with a virtual directory of domain.com/blogs/MyBlog, as opposed to just domain.com/MyBlog

I did follow instructions from several sites...not sure if I used the wiki site.

Could you post them here?

The data it's pulling for the application field looks very strange - never seen that before. Do you have access to the Blog_Config user table for the site? If so, do a SELECT * there and see what the record looks like for your blog config. Does the data in the Application field match the error or what you configured with DotTextHelper?

If it isn't right, perhaps just using SQL to edit the field would be the quickest way.

Nope, I checked the Blog_Config and the Application setting is set to "Michael".

For some reason, it's adding on the login.aspx part? Could that be it?
Any other suggestions?

Wow. I don't have a clue on that one...my guess would be the web.config, but that's already been suggested. It sounds like the HTTP Handlers in your config aren't right.
