Is there anyway to get Code Snippet support in ASPX/ASP files?

I am not sure if I understood your question but in .aspx.cs file you can right click  anywhere and will find insert snippet menu and choose snippet either from C# or code snippets you can download from microsoft download site. You can see all available snippets from Code snippet manager  under tools in VS 2005 IDE.

In an .asp or .aspx file not a.cs file.  It would be nice if you could make snippets for those areas as well.

Code snippets are supported in C# and VB, both in aspx files and in cs/vb files. There is no snippet support in classic ASP or client script.
Thanks

Insert Snippet... should appear in context menu in server script blocks.
Thanks

Code Snippets ala the Code Snippet Manager - ways to quickly insert blocks of code.   Silly to have a feature like that but restrict it certain source code or areas.  Should be able to get to a least a generic area that can pop from anywhere.   Oh well.

Yeah, I was just wondering about this. It would be nice to have code snippets for the XHTML parts of an ASPX page, not just for the VB/C# code blocks.

See if I understand this correctly. Code snippets will only work in ..CS, .VB or in the code blocks, correct? Another word, I want to create a code snippet for a html table that I use all the time. I will not be able to create and/or insert this table code snippet into my .aspx page, right?

That's correct, as far as I know. Adding code snippet support to the XHTML part of an aspx page would be a big improvement.

Here is how to make HTML snippet:

Code it up in Source view

Select all text

Drag and drop it on the toolbox.

Thanks

Sure. I didn't know that that is possible. I'll give that a try.

Thanks!

Except of course that isn't what we are talking about.  That does NOT make support for snippets (i.e. Ctrl-K-X) work.  It still doesn't work in VS2008.  I fail to see any reason for it to not work everywhere.
