Downgrade project from 2008 to 20052/15/2008 7:00:34 PM

Hi,

 I used Visual Studio 2008, but I decided to downgrade to 2005, because I must use XNA too, and that supports only the 2005. I would like to downgrade projects and solutions. 2005 opens the solutions if I overwrite the version in the sln file, but the csproj files are opened as text files.

According to here http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.adonet/browse_thread/thread/ff3a38fd2c9d0892/af418965cc6d2c85 the best solution is to create a new VS2005 project and import your source files.  You may have to remove reference to .NET 3.5 if you used them.

Not all projects can be opened in VS 2005, but it is a Web site, you can set target to .NET 2.0 and then open site in VS 2005 as a file system folder, bypassing solution file.

Today, I didn't have time to reinstall the Visual Studio, but tomorrow, I'll give it a try.

These are c# projects, all with .NET 2.0, so I think it could be opened with 2005 by importing the source files and adding some references.
